Hi,

I have installed MRTG successfully on my centos server and find it invaluble, the only problem is that every night when UPCP runs cpanel things its doing me a favour and updates MRTG.

This would be great if it didnt break it, how can I stop cpanel updating mrtg?

thanks,

It doesnt flag any errors in the UPCP email it sends, its when the "Rpm Upgrader" runs:

I will do the following:
[update: mrtg 2.9.29-4.ent.i386]
Downloading Packages
Running test transaction:
Test transaction complete, Success!

mrtg 0 % done 1/2
mrtg 0 % done 1/2
........................... < missed out the whole chunk of percentage incrementing ;)
mrtg 99 % done 1/2
mrtg 100 % done 1/2
Completing update for mrtg - 2/2
Updated: mrtg 2.9.29-4.ent.i386

since the cpanel update comes from the website; there is nothing much u can do to stop updating this. moreover there is no reason y mrtg shld cease to perform because of the update. in any case the latest stable version of C-panel is buggy and i suggest you to switch to some other version and try it.

else u will need to switch the cp update to manual install the mrtg and keep it so until the whole issue is reviewed by the cpanel and a better release be put up.
