    Go on, have a guess
How do you mean? Prevent it from being upgraded or prevent the exim configuration files being overwritten? The former, you can't unless you turn off automatic updates for cPanel apps in WHM, the former you can only use the Exim Configuration Editor.

i'am sorry about my english :(
yestday i install the exim from diff.cpanel.net , the RPM is "exim-4.43-0_cpanel_stmpcontrol_antivirus_rewrite_mailman2_maskedmailtrap_exiscan" for Fedora 3.
today i shaw in WHM the exim is not "exim-4.43-0_cpanel_stmpcontrol_antivirus_rewrite_mailman2_maskedmailtrap_exiscan" and it was exim-4.43(fc3). and all of e-mail accounts was not working now.
i uninstall the exim, del the /var/spool/exim then redownload the exim-4.43-0_cpanel_stmpcontrol_antivirus_rewrite_mailman2_maskedmailtrap_exiscan.rpm from diff.cpanel.net ,install it, all e-mail accounts was working now.
    thank you sir.
