how to test mod security?

    hi
    I run apache 2.0 and php 5, I setup mod_security apache module with a rule set of hostmerit from september2007


    how can I tet if it works?

    http://www.nessus.org/nessus/

    Make sure your own IP is whitelisted in your firewall or this will get you locked out, quick. Run the full set of tests after installing and upgrading it first. This will take a long time, and is a real resource hog on your PC. But it will check MANY things.

    You might install this to go thru your logs afterwards/during as well. http://www.logview.org/
