How to transfer my Web site with FTP

    hello i have transfer my site in new host. i have set my new site ftp username and password, and now i want to transfer my site with ftp .

    Default port for the server you're sending the file to goes there. If its another cPanel server, port 21. For remote directory, create a folder. For example when you login to cPanel via FTP, you normally would be logged into this directory: /home/username/
    Create a directory named mytmpbu there.
    /home/username/mytmpbu/

    i am trying . one mail said its sucesssfully done.. when i saw my ftp folder there nothing inside...

    i have set
    Backup Destination: Reomte server
    Email Address: my mail id
    Remote Server (FTP/SCP only): abcd.com
    Remote User (FTP/SCP only): my cpanel password
    Remote Password (FTP/SCP only): 21
    Remote Dir (FTP/SCP only): i have make a folder in cpanel i use that name here like "abcd"

    can you tell me why i cant backup my site ? just edit my avobe message and give me instruction please.

    You might try your FTP settings from an outside source like this one:
    /http://www.g6ftpserver.com/us/ftptest

    i have used my site ip and my user name and password
