    This has been a problem that has plagued me twice: I've registered a cPanel plugin and one day go to unregister it, only to find that somehow the original plugin file is gone and there isn't any way to re-download it. Today, I finally found the solution:

    1. In your SSH terminal or SFTP client, navigate to /var/cpanel/registered_cpanelplugins
    2. Find the plugin you wish to unregister (i.e. cpgs)
    3. Copy the plugin from that folder into any directory and rename it, adding ".cpanelplugin" as the extension (i.e. cpgs => cpgs.cpanelplugin)
    4. Unregister the plugin as you normally would using that file: /usr/local/cpanel/bin/unregister_cpanelplugin {PLUGIN FILE NAME}

    I hope this helps somewhat out there with the same issue I ran into! :D
