    Hello,

I have just ran up2date on one of my servers and everything is running smoothly

Only thing is I have another 4 servers to do it on, and red hat network 5 server liscence is way to expensive

Can you reccommend a good way to upgrade kernel on my cpanel servers?

Maybe an option in whm would rock :)

And idiotic to pay them money for kernel stuff.

If some of us would take the time to learn, you could even compile the kernel YOURSELVES! It's not that hard..

go to redhat.com and download the kernel rpms then install them using the rpm command, it's easy.

Cpanel/WHM will likely still complain about the kernel version, even if RH's kernels are patched against whatever vulnerabilities exist at the time.

Of course, compiling the kernel is better... if you know how, which you should if you run a server.
