    Hello,

currently we have WHM 11.15.0 cPanel 11.18.2-R21613 and CENTOS Enterprise 4.6 i686 on our server.

Now we want to upgrade the Postgresql on the server. So please give us the steps that will upgrade the Postgresql and that will be compatible wth WHM/cpanel .

Also please suggest us that will the upgrade effect the current database on the server? Or shall we have to take the backup of database on the server.

    Thank You.

    Hi,

You can use this simple process :

    1) Backup all of your current databases.
    2) Upgrade the Postgres SQL server by either upgrade or removing the old one & installing a new one.
    3) Restore the databases back into the Postgres SQL server.

There shouldn't be any problems with the upgrade process though... I hope cPanel will get an upgrade script ready [as like /scripts/mysqlup] sometime soon.. :D
