I want to use password to protect my whole website: mydomain.com. I went to "Password Protect Directories". But it seems that this feature just can protect the spefic folder. Is there a way to use password to protect my whole website? Many thanks in advance!

You could simply create a directory and then password protect it.

Then take the .htaccess file in the password protected directory and either:

    1) Copy it to your document root if there is no other .htaccess file present
    2) Copy the contents of the .htaccess file into the .htaccess file in your document root if it is present

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...
