This isn't a cpanel question but comes from my not being able to solve some problems im having with cpanel.

I have a large directory on my server of small image files I want to move to another server, theres something like over a hundred thousand images in it and it would take too long to ftp it as is. What command could I use in SSH to zip this directory so that rather than one very large zip file it creates zips of say 1-5mb of all?

So say 100,000 images divided into 1000 zip files of 100 images?.. for example. Sort of like rar files.
