If you need to stop fixmysql from running here is the down and dirty to get it stopped.

NOTE: Must be root account or equivalant.

    1. ssh into server
    2. cd /scripts
    3. mv fixmysql fixmysql_orig
    4. touch fixmysql
    5. chattr +i fixmysql

    Done.

Now fixmysql will not run again and cpanel cannot update it to cause it to run.

You may see the following error which is good for this.

    fixmysql
rename .fixmysql.rz0CXi -> fixmysql : Operation not permitted

Out of curiosity, may I ask why people would need this script to stop working?

I have had to use it to fix mysql, as restarting mysql manually didnt work :(

Are there any problems with it that I should be aware of? as it fixed mysql - but I dont want it to cause any problems later on :)

    Thanks.
