    Hello,

Once in a while all of a sudden an empty .htaccess file appears in my public_html folder. Does anyone have a clue where it comes from? It seems to happen quite randomly.

You will have to perform a check at cPanel & FTP logs. Check the logs for the time stamp when .htaccess file is modified. If you are on a shared web host, contact your web hosting provider.

Thanks for replying. I checked some logs but no htaccess in there. I installed a pecl module yesterday. Maybe it has something to do with that. I'll keep my eye on it and try to figure out when it appears.

If anyone has any idea where the file comes from, please let me know!
