I am having a problem whereby I access a page and the html presented is not the html of the page !

This happens when I have protected a directory using cpanels web protect feature. The re-written html is a meta refresh:

    <HTML><HEAD><META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="0" URL="http://www.domain.com.au/protectedir"></HEAD><BODY>
    </BODY></HTML>

Does anybody know if cpanel could be doing this. The html of the page is certainly not what is shown above. Perhaps my ip has been blocked from accessing this directory and hence cpanel is re-writing the html.

Or maybe it is how the authentication works, or the redirects in the apache configs are messed up or something. If anyone has ever experienced this or has any ideas, I'd be very grateful.

    Im totally stumped.
