Two different users reporting that when they edit a file they have routinely edited with html edit, they are seeing nothing unusual initially, but when they save, the file content is corrupted with extraneous non-ascii characters. This happens throughout the file, not just in the area edited.

    (WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.2-R63)

Anyone else? Any fixes? Any workarounds?

    Bill

This happens when they try to use a symbol such as (c) or (R) or any other symbol. Only fix is to not press the symbol button but to use parenthesis and the letter... using © also results in extraneous characters.

    Thanks rs --

I tested, and it also gets the extra characters when the user tries to add any extra spaces usign the space bar or the tab key -- all the extra spaces are replaced by a "A" with a "^" above it.
