HTTP timeouts

Hello,

we are running WHM 11.32.2 (build 25)
CENTOS 5.8 x86_64 vmware on a VMware ESX with 3x Xeon E5405 2 GHz and 8 GB RAM for the VM. Lately we had timeouts on some of our websites and sometimes http was completely unaccessable. Checking the logs we found out the following: the chkservd service job did not finish in time so that it was terminated. On some occasions services like apache, mysql or suphp were blocking or killed by the system. We had to restart the machine in order to make it work again.

We noticed that running php scripts on some of our websites causes high cpu load and memory usage. The apache log states the same as many timeouts are recorded when running php scripts.

The apache log states the same as many timeouts are recorded when running php scripts.

Could you provide us with the full error message from the Apache error log? This can sometimes help us determine the specific cause of the problem.
