I need to activate mod rewrite in apache 2.2 on my box

I can't seem to get it working
    Code:
    root@server [~]# /usr/local/cpanel/bin/apache_conf_distiller --update
    Distilled successfully
    root@server [~]# service httpd restart
httpd: Syntax error on line 37 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf: module rewrite_module is built-in and can't be loaded
    Also,

    Code:
    root@server [~]# service httpd restart
