    Hello,
    If you can help me...
    my apache status is:

Current Time: Monday, 12-Sep-2005 14:27:00 BRT
Restart Time: Monday, 12-Sep-2005 14:14:58 BRT
    Parent Server Generation: 7
Server uptime: 12 minutes 2 seconds
Total accesses: 38267 - Total Traffic: 16.9 MB
    CPU Usage: u69.61 s57.39 cu953.95 cs597.44 - 232% CPU load
    53 requests/sec - 24.0 kB/second - 463 B/request
62 requests currently being processed, 20 idle servers

with this, my server load is very high, my configuration of the httpd is:

    Timeout 300
    KeepAlive Off
    MaxKeepAliveRequests 100
    KeepAliveTimeout 15
    MinSpareServers 5
    MaxSpareServers 10
    StartServers 5
    MaxClients 200
    MaxRequestsPerChild 0
    ServerSignature Off

But I think that still is bad. I not like of this configuration. The server is a dual 2.4Ghz with 1gb of memory. Do You could say which to me the best configuration of the httpd for this occasion?

    thanks

You might want to change Timeout down to 5 instead of 300. Other than that they look good. There are many variables contributing to server high load including bad/insecure Php script and DOS/UDP/TCP attacks.
