    httpd has failed, please contact the sysadmin

    i was search my problem in forum database.But i couldnt found that problem in forum database. My problem is on below.

    Code:
    Syntax error on line 1215 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
    ServerName takes one argument, The hostname of the server
    What can i do ? Please Help :eek: ...
    Thanks for ideas...

    Hello,

    Check the line 1215 in your apache configuration. Paste the line 1215 here.

    You can do it with the help of vi or pico. Check the manual of vi or pico.
    I am really sorry, :( Please contact your hosting provider or support team to solve this issue.

    i see that problem is on my whm index page..:S

    If you don't understand what to do, despite given the advice, then you're either going to need to ask for support from your datacenter if you've rented the server, hire a server admin, or learn more about Linux where http://www.tldp.org is a good place to start. These forums are not for teaching the basics of linux server management, which is what you need.
