I seem to be having problems getting httpd to start up. I have upgraded to the latest everything and rebuilt apache a few times.

    From WHM:
    PHP:
    Attempting to restart httpd
    Waiting
    for httpd to restart.... . . . . . . . . . . finished

    httpd status root      9757  0.0  1.0 10348 9964  ??  S     1:18AM   0:00.04 /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/bin/whostmgr ./reshttpd

    httpd has failed
    please contact the sysadmin
    From ssh:
    PHP:
    scuba01# /etc/init.d/httpd configtest
    Syntax OK
    PHP:
    scuba01# /etc/init.d/httpd status

    Looking up localhost
    localhost
    Making HTTP connection to localhost
    Alert
!: Unable to connect to remote host.

    lynxCan't access startfile http://localhost/server-status
    PHP:
    scuba01# /etc/init.d/httpd start
/etc/init.d/httpd starthttpd could not be started
I've checked the error log and nothing is specified there as a problem or even a message... any ideas?

I think I got it from another thread (oh the joys of actually searching properly) but that easy script is great! Thanks!

What does scripts/easyapache do? I mean, does it recompile apache or something? What is the exact purpose of easyapache?
