https not working

    Hai,

    We have https installed but after cpanel updation we are unable to access https sites - with the error showing "Connection was refused when attempting to contact mydomain.com"

    It is blind unknowing where it went wrong.

    we really appreicate for the solutions.

    Hello,

    Just try to restart httpd with ssl

    service httpd stop
    service httpd startssl

    :)

    We had tried that - eventhen it doesn't work.

    I am getting the same error. I have tried the following.

    Rebuild apache
    restart apache
    restart httpssl

    none work. Please advise,

    Please get back to forum with the error message that you have got in the error logs.
    So that we can move forward with your issue.

    Error when typing in command service httpd startssl is quoted below.

    Just got it fixed, you may want to check you log files for your ssl, mine was over 2 GB large.

    path to logs: /var/log

    File size limit exceeded(core dumped) $HTTPD -DSSL

    1.Check log file size { /usr/local/apache/logs }

    2. #cd /usr/local/apache/logs

    3. # > {max size filename}-----> eg: error_log

    4.enter.
    5.restart apache.

    You can also configure cPanel Log Rotation at Main >> Service Configuration >> cPanel Log Rotation Configuration to avoid future failure.
