Hello

I found on a clients VPS

root@user123 [/usr/local/apache/domlogs/user123]# ls -lah
total 24G
drwxr-x--- 2 root user123 4.0K Mar 21 01:11 ./
drwx--x--x 9 root wheel 4.0K Jul 4 15:21 ../
-rw-r----- 2 root user123 24G Jul 4 15:35 domain.tld

with "more" I saw that the log file contains /Mar/2014
so it seems it doesn't rotate

how can I fix that?

thank you

In WHM>>>tweak settings>>>stats and logs check that the options "Delete each domain’s access logs after stats run" is checked and "Keep log files at the end of the month" is off

it is checked,
it was from the beggining, and that is the problem.
Could you elaborate on this response? For instance, what do you mean by "it was from the beginning"?

Thank you.

Hello,

ofcrouse,

since the setup of the server before the account/website was setup on the server,
the option "Delete each domain’s access logs after stats run" was turned on
and the opton "Keep log files at the end of the month" was turned off by me.

After I first noticed the problem with the big log file, I did check these options again, and they were unchanged.
at that point I did open the thread in cpanel's forum.

As the option is enabled already, I believe your stats update was not performing regularly. This could happen if the load value specified to temporarily suspend the process gets crossed every time it executes. Please check if latest stat details are available in your awststs

Please review the following log file:

/usr/local/cpanel/logs/stats_log

Do you notice statistics generating normally without error? This is the process by which the Apache domlogs are removed.

Thank you.

at Home »
Server Configuration »
Statistics Software Configuration I see everyday: Statistics Status Summary "The server currently is able to keep up with your statistics processing schedule."

cPanelMichael ,
I did read all the /usr/local/cpanel/logs/stats_log
I don't see any error message or anything about something gone wrong, everything seems fine.
