HUGE EXIM/POP3 problem

It appears that I cannot send mail out to some of my clients and they cannot send email to me..
Here is an error a user reports when sending email to me.

SOMEONE HELP!! WHY ISNT EXIM SENDING MAILS OUT??? AND SOMETIMES
DOESNT EXCEPT MAIL..

It appears Exim only works 80% of the time sending mail.
A lot of users report they never got a reply from us, even though we replied!

What do you have in /var/log/exim_mainlog and /var/log/exim_rejectlog ? Did you try sending to your machine\'s domains from an alternate box using raw sendmail so the output can guide you towards a solution?

(sendmail -t -v)

Um................. is your relaydaemon running ? Is it screwed? (/scripts/fixrelayd)... and restart exim after you run that, watch for changes.

Just some suggestions.
