I can send mail without authentication

    Hi,

    I can send mail without SMTP authentication. I configured a user 1234567@domain.com in my outlook express. The user is not exist on my server but the domain exist on my server. I haven't slected the option called "My Server requires authentication" bust still I am able to send mail successfully.

    I want to configure my mail server in a way that no user should be able to send mail without selecting "My server requires authentication"

    Please let me know how can I do that?

    I believe if you go into whm, hit the "service manager" link on the left side, and disable anti-relayd, you will prevent users from doing what you describe below.

    It is a handy feature. One thing to note - forcing them to authenticate will *not* prevent them from making up bogus "from" addresses@domain.com. I'm not aware of a way to do that.
