I have an account with a fairly old cPanel 10.

I've had the account almost a year, and I'm pretty sure that CronJobs are not running and never have.

I guess I should really ask my webhost, but is there a way of making certain that cronjobs have been disabled by the webhost? I don't get an email when a cronjobs should run, including on a local email account.

The stats no longer run and neither do any bandwidth checks.

Is there a way of knowing for sure that cronjobs are disabled? Should I be able to see something in the server status?

What are the results of this command run from shell as root?
    crontab -l

BTW, you really should update to cPanel 11.

    Solution

Have you checked cron jobs error logs? if no then frst check it.

    tail -f /var/log/cron

As well as try to run files you have been set in cron manually from shell and check if it throws errors.

Regarding to mail delivery issue with cron make sure that you haven't set cron with the following option.

    > /dev/null 2>&1

Hope it will sort out your issue

I would upgrade to cPanel 11 if I could - only my webhost hasn't upgraded.

I've only just noticed the shell access icon which I swear I've seen is available on friends cPanels, isn't on mine :-(

Would cPanel automatically email the server admin that the cronjobs aren't working? and if I didn't mention it, it's not updating webstats packages or bandwidth.

You'll need to get with your host on this problem.
