    Hi
    today i find in /tmp
    >drwxrwxrwt 2 xfs xfs 1024 Aug 17 05:16 .font-unix/

    with "top -c" find

    >964 xfs 0 0.0 0.0 xfs

    into /etc/passwd
    > xfs:x:43:43:X Font Server:/etc/X11/fs:/sbin/nologin

I know is normal if into server there is GD TTF (I HOPE )

    but i can kill
    >964 xfs 0 0.0 0.0 xfs
    and delete
    .font-unix/

xfs is normal. If you don't want it to start, execute ntsysv and scroll to the bottom and uncheck it and then shut it down....service xfs stop

not sure what the desktop user is. This might be related to a workstation install of an operating system. Nothing really to worry about as they don't have root UID/GID...I would just check to make sure they aren't on the wheel group.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how to deinstall or disable XFS...its seems to be causing one of our servers to crash and come with "Read Only File System"...the only way to get around is to reboot it at the server....remotely doesn't work...thanks for any and all help....I didnt see the part above about executing ntsysv....that worked...thanks
