I found some files in /tmp

    Hello All,

    Today I found this files in /tmp ... What must I do this files? Delete all ?

    -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nobody 2.4K Jan 2 07:51 index.htm
    -rwxrwxrwx 1 nobody nobody 15K Jan 2 06:03 cancer*
    -rwx--x--x 1 nobody nobody 17K Jan 4 10:30 cgi*

    Is your tmp executable? The cancer file can be bad from what I have read. I would definately rm them.

    The cgi* is equally as bad. Iv seen this before. Its actually a .c script that they rename before they recompile. Really doesnt matter whether your /tmp is executable or not. All the modificiations being made by server admins to lock down /tmp is fruitless when there are way to get around this. It really offers very minimual protection.

    When is Cpanel going to give us a properly chrooted envir?
