    hi !

I have x servers configured as cluster with 2 onlydns cpanel servers, each dnsonly in different datacenters.

we configured like this in case first one fails, second dnsonly will serve resolving domains.

How can i test if second dnsonly is working without shutting off first one.

I meant , we tested doing a dig @x.x.x.x domain.tld to the second server, and it resolves right, should it be enough test ?

    thanks

Doing a dig directly at the nameserver, as you mentioned, is the best way to test it. If it returns the expected answer, it is configured correctly.
