    Hey Guys,

    I have a couple of problems.

    About a month ago, I moved to another server (server to server migration)... and ever since, I've been having problems.

    Had no problems with the old server regarding my issues... but this one seems to be a mess.

    One problem I have:
    == WORKAROUND ENABLED ==
    Serious Problem -- This should never happen!!
    The hostname (solitaire.domain.com) is owned by the user domain
    == WORKAROUND ENABLED ==

    Checked the DNS - solitaire isn't in there (solitaire.domain.com has its own entry)

    And the other problem...

    Left and right, I'm having domains that aren't accessible via www.domain.com. But domain.com works fine. And sometimes www.domain.com actually DOES work.

    Its very weird...

    I checked the DNS of the domains that are doing this (mind you not all domains on the server are doing this), and www is coming up fine...

    www 14400 IN CNAME domain.com.

    I do a save and restart bind... and still problems

    Any suggestions? Because I've come up empty handed, and its starting to drive me crazy!!

    Thanks!
    Tonya

    Fix for == WORKAROUND ENABLED ==

    Hi,

    I am there to help you ;)

    The issue is caused when the server name is associated with a user on the server.

    First of please excute the script /scripts/updateuserdomains which will show the error which you have been getting.

    As a fix. First login to your server and then open the file /var/cpanel/users;/user_name where username is the username shown in the error.

    and change the enty

    DNS=

    to something else other than the servername. ( possibily to some other subdomain of the servernames base domain name )

    Then run /scripts/updateuserdomains

    If the script executes with showing any error as below

    == WORKAROUND ENABLED ==
    Serious Problem -- This should never happen!!
    The hostname (solitaire.domain.com) is owned by the user domain
    == WORKAROUND ENABLED

    Then the issue is fixed.

    Hope this helps.
