i have to run fixmailandaktopia like everyday

It seems like when ever anyone on my server adds a new email account it sets it with username.username ownership instead of username.mail So they call me and run fixmailandaktopia and their mail starts working.

Why does this happen so often? are my clients doing something wrong when creating emails? Is there a permanent fix for this?
