I/O high

    Hello,

    I have problems of high I/O generating low performance in my VPS. how can I see who or that I file is it the one that this generating high i/o with recurring consume?

    top - 09:26:30 up 6 days, 22:56, 2 users, load average: 6.93, 6.78, 6.46
    Tasks: 163 total, 3 running, 158 sleeping, 0 stopped, 2 zombie
    Cpu(s): 3.2% us, 1.6% sy, 0.0% ni, 51.4% id, 43.8% wa, 0.0% hi, 0.0% si

    The problem is likely at the node level. I doubt you could really do much about it.

    As elix said, I/O is not truly shared on VPS hence giving an issue if other users on the same 'dedicated hardware' are i.e. running backups. Best thing you can do is contact your hosting provider to figure out what is going on. But as soon as it comes to I/O i saw many VPS companies back away and blame it on your site.

    Hence the reason for me to stay far away from VPS.

    Hello,

    I forgot to tell them that I am owner of my hardware node and I have access to each VPS. But I have a VPS especially that has high consumptions of I/O but not you which it is that of the problem of all the 300 accounts.
