Identifying these processes.. (CPU maxing -bash, /usr/sbin/apache/log)

    Every day or two I have one / both of these processes suddenly taking the server CPU resources by max.

    24186 nobody 0 99.4 0.0 -bash
    6401 nobody 0 81.8 0.1 /usr/sbin/apache/log

    I was unable to find the cause.

    But these -bash and /usr/sbin/apache/log is becoming a regualr feature on one of my servers.

    Any input? I find it annoying to kill these processes everytime I see it taking the whole CPU.

    This one:

    24186 nobody 0 99.4 0.0 -bash

    Suggests that you have php scripts that have been compromised and phpshell scripts uploaded and being actively exploited.
