    Hi,

Is someone using "remote mysql server" in production ? I would expect that someone tell me: "Yes, I have separate remote mysql server and works stable". Is it possible to hear this ?

    Hello :)

I have seen several cases where a remote MySQL server was utilized on a production environment. We do have some documentation on this option at:

    Setup Remote MySQL

    Thank you.

Thank You very much for answer, but I would like to have answer from regular user, not from cPanl Stuff ;-) , but now I see that this option may work at all, if it do work for You.

There are a lot of web hosts that use remote SQL servers. With my hosting company, we did have separate servers set up for pure sql servers. After a while, we phased is out as it wasn't cost effective with the amount of growth we are having.

Hosting your MySQL services on a separate server can be quite beneficial. It does help reduce load times on servers and is great if you have very large websites.
