Im guessing its normal to see EVERY icon greyed out ?

I understand its an Alpha release
But what Im seeing is essentially an installed screen shot since EVERY icon is greyed out and goes to a page that says not ready yet ...

If thats expected behavior thats fine - just wondering

Yes. The original intent was that we would unveil a new section/group of functionality with each release. Each release 'activating' another icon or set of icons,progressively building out x4.

have ANY of the icons come out of beta ? Should ANY of them be live now 7 months later ?

no, those areas of X4 have not been implemented yet as we've had to move on to other projects for now. Hang tight, as we have big things coming down the pipe for the UI.
