When trying to install Image::Magick I get this error:

    /bin/sh ../mkinstalldirs /usr/include/magick
    mkdir -p -- /usr/include/magick
mkdir: cannot create directory `/usr/include/magick': File exists
    make[2]: *** [install-includeHEADERS] Error 1
    make[2]: Leaving directory
    `/home/cpmagickbuild/magick/ImageMagick-5.5.1/magick'
    make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
    make[1]: Leaving directory
    `/home/cpmagickbuild/magick/ImageMagick-5.5.1/magick'
    make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

When looking in /usr/include I see a red colored "file" magick with a @ behind it.

    Should I delete that?

It seems the fact that it is red means the location it is linking to is dead. I now unlinked it and will try installing again.

    Getting same error again:

    /bin/sh ../mkinstalldirs /usr/include/magick
    mkdir -p -- /usr/include/magick
mkdir: cannot create directory `/usr/include/magick': File exists
    make[2]: *** [install-includeHEADERS] Error 1
    make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/cpmagickbuild/magick/ImageMagick-5.5.1/magick'
    make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
    make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/cpmagickbuild/magick/ImageMagick-5.5.1/magick'
    make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

File seems to be created during install process. It tries to link to:

    /usr/X11R6/include/X11/magick/magick

    Which does not exist.

    Any ideas?

    The following worked for me:

    mkdir /home/cpim
    cd /home/cpim
    /scripts/installrpm ImageMagick
    /scripts/installrpm ImageMagick-devel
    wget http://layer1.cpanel.net/magick.tar.gz
    tar zxvf magick.tar.gz
    cd magick
    sh install

I ran into a few problems with the install and ended up doing it manually.

I solved it by manually creating the directory:

    /usr/X11R6/include/X11/magick/magick

and then running install from whm
