I've got a new server and am having trouble getting ImageMagick to install properly. I've tried from shell with the cPanel script, from shell following the steps on the ImageMagick website, and from WHM.

It ends with "Make had returned bad status, install seems impossible".

Here are some quotes from one of the installation attempts.

    during make:
    • warning: `/usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/3.4.6/../../..//' seems to be moved
    • warning: unused parameter 'columns_'
    • Magick.xs:212: warning: missing initializer
Magick.xs:212: warning: (near initialization for `Methods[8].arguments')
    • Magick.c: In function `XS_Image__Magick_Append':
      Magick.c:2449: warning: unused variable `ref'
      Magick.c:2442: warning: unused variable `ix'

    during make install:
    • warning: `/usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/3.4.6/../../..//' seems to be moved
    • warning: relinking `coders/

If I try running a simple script in shell to convert an image file type, I get "Segmentation fault".

I put the whole log from the shell install following the website instructions at if you want to see it all.
