    Hi cPanel staff,

How are you? I am experiencing an issue with a server that I hosted in my house with cPanel installed on CentOS.

    1. Scenario:
      • Program used:
        1. Windows 7
        2. Outlook 2010
      • Outlook's Setting:
        1. 143 for IMAP no encryption
        2. 25 for SMTP no encryption
      • Windows 7 Setting
        1. Windows 7's firewall is turned off
      • Router's Setting
        1. Port 21~80 are forwarded both on TCP/UDP
        2. Port 110~140 are forwarded both on TCP/UDP
      • When connecting outside of the same LAN with the server (via 3G/4G..etc)
        1. Can receive email via IMAP
        2. Can send email via SMTP
      • When connecting on the same LAN with the server
        1. Cannot receive email via IMAP, the connection is failed.
        2. Can send email via SMTP

Do you have any idea where I should start to look for problems?

Hi, thank you for your promptly response, the exact error states as follows:

Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for xxx@xxx.com.' reported error (0x800CCCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for xxx@xxx.com. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

After days of browsing thru online, I found this solution.

So my question is, what port do I need to forward in order for me to connect to my email server internally on the same network?

Please note, I can connect to my mail server correctly via 3G/4G external connections

    Hello,

Have you considered disabling port forwarding on your home router to see if the issue persists? This is really a system administration task for your home computer/network as opposed to an issue with the cPanel server or configuration.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

It's stating that your local server is connecting to the "spamd" service. Are you still experiencing these error messages?

    Thank you.
