Hello all, i am new to server managment but i am trying to figure it all out. I have a problem with IMAP server. It keeps failing. I have found a temporary solution to force reinstall whm and then the problem goes away for a week or so. But then imap starts failing again. This is the output of the emails i am receiving.

Code:
TCP Transaction Log:

<< * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS ID ENABLE IDLE NAMESPACE LITERAL+ STARTTLS AUTH=PLAIN AUTH=LOGIN] Dovecot ready.

>> A001 LOGIN __cpanel__service__auth__imap__tyumqcpavsp2UCml T5Vu2d5YTkiXRiCZ

<< A001 NO [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Authentication failed.

imap: ** [A001 NO [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Authentication failed. != A001 OK]

: Died
I have tried to increase the authentication daemons but the problem is not fixed. I have also setup CPHULK with low limits.
Do you know how to solve this?

Greetings,

Looking at the error message, it could be related to a number of things. If restarting the service is not resolving the issue, then it may likely be a configuration matter. That session is specifically what chkservd is using to test the daemon. You may want to check the service check configuration for dovecot.

Beyond this general advice, it would be best if our staff could investigate first hand. Please open a ticket with us at cPanel ID

I think i had done something stupid. I had blocked all ips from the country that my server is located. Now it seems that the problem is fixed.
