imap log... where are you!?!?

    looked in /var/log

    no avail....



    cpanel says logging is on...

    sigh.

    imap connection logins are stored in /var/log/maillog

    what about where to look to see where imap failed, and restarted?

    Depends which version you're using. If it is cPanel's uw-imap then that is run through xinetd, so as such doesn't have a stop and start log since it restarts (mostly) for each new connection. The log for xinetd is /var/log/messages. If you're running courier-imap then the stops/start will also be in /var/log/messages.
