IMAP/POP3 Maximum Connections / Maximum Connections Per Ip?

Hello, can anybody give us an advice about the acceptable values for a server with 150 - 200 clients? One account can have 100 users.


Maximum Imap Connections (Total)
Maximum Imap Connections Per Ip
Maximum TLS/SSL Imap Connections Per Ip
Maximum Pop3 Connections (Total)
Maximum Pop3 Connections Per Ip
Maximum TLS/SSL Pop3 Connections Per Ip
Number of Authentication Daemons

And, what happens if the max value is reached?

Hello

You will typically see authentication failures when the maximum values are reached. The values you should configure depends on how active your clients are with email activity. You may want to start with the default values, and then increase them if you start to notice the email activity warrants increasing these limits.
