    Hi All

All of a sudden this afternoon users stopped recieving mail. I saw that IMAP had stopped but it would not restart. No errors are shown when restarting it through WHM or manually.

The maillog has shown the following for a while now which I assume has something to do with it:
Feb 4 00:32:58 server pop3d: setuid: Resource temporarily unavailable
Feb 4 00:33:27 server imapd: setuid: Resource temporarily unavailable
Feb 4 00:33:28 server imapd: setuid: Resource temporarily unavailable
Feb 4 00:33:34 server pop3d: setuid: Resource temporarily unavailable
Feb 4 00:33:58 server last message repeated 2 times
Feb 4 00:34:03 server imapd-ssl: setuid: Resource temporarily unavailable
Feb 4 00:34:17 server pop3d: setuid: Resource temporarily unavailable
Feb 4 00:35:41 server last message repeated 15 times

The mailqueue is growing and I am getting desperate!
Does anyone have any ideas what I should try?

I have searched for a while now but no joy.

If your username is root (you have root access to the server), then you can submit a support request by choosing the "Without logging in" option at the bottom of the page. This will place you into our slower complementary queue, but we will still look at your issue if we are given root access to the server.

    Hi

Thanks for reply. I contacted my web host as per the instructions on the cPanel ticket system who did not have much luck.
In the end I had to gracefully restart which cleared the problem although of course this may not be permanent.

Can I still raise a ticket if I use a web host for dedicated server and cpanel licence?

    David

If your cPanel licensing provider is unable to assist you, feel welcome to remind them they can contact us directly for assistance.

Alternatively, you can choose the "Submit a ticket without logging in" option on http://tickets.cPanel.net/submit - While this will put you directly in touch with us, it may be a few hours before our technical analysts review your ticket.
