Hello,
Can someone help to explain more about how IMAP works with RoundCube in cPanel server?
i found a difficulty to solve problem when one email account missing mails from last week.
A. My current version setting are:
1. Server version cPanel = Version 68.0.26 (centos7).
2. Daily use webmail roundcube via chrome (Version 63.0.3239.132(64bit)).
3. Microsoft Outlook home and bussiness 2013 - Version 15.0.4997.1000
4. MDBOX
5. Dovecot
B. Previous Setting at outlook 2013 before incident missing mails:
"manually config #1"
incoming email1.domainname.com port: 143 - no SSL
outgoing email1.domainname.com port: 26 - no SSL
The next day i change the configuration into:
"manually config #2"
incoming mail.domainname.com port: 993 - SSL
outgoing mail.domainname.com port: 465 - SSL
i saw some mails are missing after that in "sent" folder including "few folders and sub-folder" that i create myself via outlook 2013 which i believe should be the same data (sync) with cPanel webmail (rouncube).
C. What i did:
- change into previous setting again "manually config #1" no good result.
- changing browser using mozilla.
- test using different webmail squirrelmail and horde - no good result.
Just curious why this behaviour happen in my server.
Regards,
Zurrie
