I've noticed that squirrelmail and other webmails including are running REALLY slow.
INBOX refresh takes about 22 seconds. Is this normal ?
    I've founded the reason - http://www.squirrelmail.org/wiki/SpeedWithUW
Chmoding mail spools to 1777 didn't help.

    Go on, have a guess
Moving over to the new maildir format and courier-imap would probably help in that regard.

As (Nick) cPanel has said, if you have problems with the migration process run the following:

    /scripts/courierup --force
    /scripts/eximup --force

If that doesn't resolve the issue, log a tiket directly with cPanel.

    courierup --force script dosn't work.
    root@host# /scripts/courierup --force
    courier-imap Setup Script Version 1.0
    root@host#
As you can see i don't see any output.

for anyone with same problem courierup command not working like above, it means its not installed.
    run /scripts/convert2maildir
it will not tell you it failed, you need to check the install log file it directs you to, to make sure it is converting properly.

in my case one of my hard drives was too full to add the maildir dir conversion so it would fail and not convert

ps. i know this post is a few months old, but i believe in sharing and logging experiances to help others that may one day have the same problem :)
