IMAP

Hello,

We just tried starting IMAP from shell by running '/etc/rc.d/init.d/xinetd start' and it gives OK but it didn't doesn't seem to be working. So I checked /var/log/messages and found the following..

Aug 21 09:28:40 gladiator xinetd[3331]: Service talk missing attribute server
Aug 21 09:28:40 gladiator xinetd[3331]: Service telnet missing attribute server
Aug 21 09:28:40 gladiator xinetd[3331]: bind failed (Address already in use (errno = 98)). service = imap
Aug 21 09:28:40 gladiator xinetd[3331]: xinetd Version 2.3.3 started with libwrap options compiled in.
Aug 21 09:28:40 gladiator xinetd[3331]: Started working: 0 available services
Aug 21 09:28:43 gladiator xinetd: xinetd startup succeeded

Any help would be appriciated.

If you have portsentry running, stop portsentry, restart xinet, then restart portsentry.
