Incoming mail appended with a dot

I do not know how long this has been happening. But a user has just pointed out to me that all his email that comes into cPanel has a '.' at the end of every message.

I understand that the dot is used to terminate a message. But why is it being shown? Is there any way to get rid of it?

I am currently running:
WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-C21
CentOS 4.4 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

EDIT: It seems to be random. I sent several tests and 2 of the tests did not have the dot while the rest did. I sent from the same email all containing the same message.
