This is a bit frustrating so perhaps someone can straighten me out. I have WHM set to do an incremental backup every other day. Wed morning was the last one. On Thursday a client lost some files so we ran a restore process. All of their pages and e-mail restored were from March so I looked into the backup drive and found that there were indeed newer files did indeed exist, but the index files had not changed. In this case they use a web editor that overwrites index.shtml with new data when they publish an article. So the article files were saved but the index.shtml remained the same since March, even though the date was newer.
Does the incremental backup routine not replace files that have newer time stamps? Or does it only add files that were not there before?
Thanks!
Bob
