incremental backups rentention

    So to understand this correctly. IF we select daily backup under incremental type and set retention to say 3 and say the /home directory with all cpanel accounts is say 600GB then the backup server or path will have 3 dated backup folders each of 600GB? and not 1 600GB and the rest only the changes? Hope this is not the case because then it is doing full backups?

    Incremental backups make use of hard links for files that have not changed to avoid duplicating data that already exists. Here's a thread where this is discussed in more detail:
