incrementing DNS serial numbers

That script didnt increment the serial numbers

this one by 3rd party does

The command you referenced from the other thread does in-fact work. It's designed to update the serial for zones that have had modifications since the last serial increment. Thus, if you make no modifications to a zone, a serial increase does not occur with that command.
