My system crashed and I tried to upload my site from an old one using Front Page 2003 to no avail.

I remember that I had to do something with an index page (newbie here) so that my site would show something other than the folders in the browser.

    how do I do that.

Since I could not get my site up I just redirected it to my second website after two days.

Are there some beginning instructions for uploading a site from scratch again?

    Appreciatively,
    Elizabeth

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling your FP extensions, and then republish your site with frontpage.
