    Hi,

For consistency reasons we'd like to install an external VPS with "cPanel DNS only" and CSF/LFD as firewall.
Can someone please post links to screenshots of "cPanel DNS Only", a functionality overview (does it come with (a limited) WHM?) or the minimal system requirements to run "cPanel DNS Only" comfortable for a few thousand domain names. I've not been able to find these yet.

    Thanks.

cPanel DNS only provides the standard WHM interface to manage it, however you are correct in that it is very much cut down and so all of the hosting options and services are removed from the installation and WHM interface as it is only to provide DNS. We run a few entry level Celerons with just 1Gb of RAM and they host thousands of zones and just tick over with no noticable load at all, therefore any half decent VPS should not be a problem.

Thanks for shedding some light into the matter, PenguinInternet. I'd no idea what to expect.

Maybe it's a good idea for cPanel to post more info about this on their web site. After all, it's their own product.

Do you also have CSF/LFD running on these Celeron DNS Only boxes? If so, is it accessible via the limited WHM Panel (like on regular cPanel boxes) or only via SSH?
