Inmotion Hosting hacked

    I would expect cPanel was disabled in order to give the lads time to find out who, how and what hacked the hosting. I have not heard of a case where cPanel itself was ever hacked.

    Hi gvard,

    This is Brad with InMotion Hosting.

    The number is actually no where near 700,000. The hacker actually was counting www.domain.com and domain.com as different domains.

    Yes, after review, the exploit was not directly tied to cPanel on the server.
