I'm just asking if it's safe to install simplescripts on my server and if it requires root credentials i.e is it collected by the installation script, I'm just wonder how it's free and better than fantastico or does it collect my server's info ?
It depends upon the script you installed. It the script requires the server information then you will have to provide the root credentials to install the script. Before installing the script please make sure that the script is feasible to install it on your server.
